classy-cute bachelorette party

I planned a small dessert & drink favor table for a classy-cute bachelorette party.

I made margarita jelly shots {recipe here, minus the cucumber} and Paloma jelly shots {recipe here}. My idea was to cover them in colored sugar {like these} but the colored sugar seemed to disintegrate. Next time, I’ll add sprinkles just before serving.

I made the cake pop stand by covering two Styrofoam cake “dummies” in scrapbook paper. You need to use special Styrofoam glue. I suggest the kind that comes in hot glue form because it dries quicker. Look for it in the floral supply aisle.

I bought one 4-pack of mini bottles of Korbel Sweet Rose Champagne at Target and then proceeded to look for more at 5 other Target stores before I finally gave up. The little bottles of Canella Bellini came from Cost Plus.

I quickly set everything up while the girls were down by the pool.

I realized that I never posted my list of 34 things to do before I turn 34. If I had, learning to paddle board would have been on it. I took myself on a date to the lake (yes, by myself!), soaked up some rays, and after much trial and error, I was able to stand upright and paddle. I absolutely loved every minute of it. I see many more days of paddle boarding in my future. The moral of the story? When life gives you lemons, learn to paddle board.
