Pink, Aqua & Gold Bridal Shower
Finally. The infamous bridal shower that I’ve been talking about for MONTHS. My sister, Leslie, was the guest of honor. Lucky for her, I love planning parties.
The shower took place at my sister’s fiance’s family’s house. Naturally, I took charge of the decorations, many of the favors, and desserts.
For the wedding, my sister is going for a rustic look – with blush pink, aqua blue, and gold details. I know she also likes a bit of sparkle, so for her shower, I went for a “rustic bling” look – is that even a thing?
I tied ribbons of crepe paper to a long strand of yarn to create a backdrop for the dessert buffet. Most of the glass jars came from my own collection. I scoured thrift stores for cake stands – only paying about $2 each.
I hand-made the lollipops (they were cheaper to make than to buy). The lollipop stands were Styrofoam cones, which I covered in white ribbon.

I made glittering lemon sandwich cookies (recipe here, originally seen on Purl Bee).
Filigree lollipop letters were purchased from Vintage Confections on Etsy.
The cupcakes were strawberries & champagne (recipe can be found here).
These were chocolate cake pops, sprayed with edible gold paint (visit Bakerella.com for cake pop recipes).
I designed my own soda bottle labels, printed them on sticker paper, and adhered them to brightly colored bottled sodas.
I just love the mason jar glasses with daisy cut lids.
For favors, I baked sugar cookie wedding cakes (recipe found at Martha Stewart, royal frosting recipe was found in Amy Atlas’s book, Sweet Designs).
I even made little beverage flags (DIY coming soon).
Here I am with my sister.
YUM.
I designed labels for water bottles as well. I purchased blank labels at Michaels but I think using sticker paper then cutting the labels to size would have been easier.

Here is my sister, Leslie, and her fiance, Steve.
And because I didn’t get any iphone photos myself, these are from Morgan’s phone (she’s pictured at bottom, right).
And I love this one of the bridesmaids.
Now all I have to do is relax and enjoy the wedding!

This looks amazing! I love all the details! You did an amazing job and I’m sure your sister was so grateful.
or if I want to throw a super cute party
Definitely coming back here if I’m ever on bridesmaid duty
